Currently Derek enjoys competing at the national level in the NPC Men’s Physique division. Through his driving force in nontraditional training, he is dedicated to fulfilling his clients’ wants and needs in reaching their full physical training. He completely understands the challenges that come with reaching one’s fitness and nutritional goals, and he focuses on taking away any and all obstacles that will prevent their success.
A native of Las Vegas, Byron enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. Some of his favorite activities include playing sports, riding motorcycles, playing the drums, Krav Maga, and cooking. He constantly strives to expand his knowledge base in Nutrition and health fitness through study and application.
The fundamental principles I’ve learned from being raised by West Indian parents in the Midwest at simple and they are the same ones I hold my clients to:
Do your best - you can’t give me more than You have to give
Accountability - be responsible for actions, understand what you’re putting in before questioning what you’re getting back.
Be malleable - if you’re training with me, trust Im not going to steer you wrong.
Have fun(this one is mine) - training can begin to feel mundane, but often it’s in the eyes of the beholder. Bring a positive vibe with you and I’ll share mine also.
